6-8 Medium apples
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. water
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
Slice and peel apples and put in sauce pan with sugar and water. Cook 5-8 minutes or until soft. Pour apples and juice into a greased 9x13 pan. Combine and make a topping of brown sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder, then cut in 1/2 c. butter until fine. Spread evenly over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
