It happened again last night.
I was at the grocery store, scanning through $1 videos in the Redbox machine, when the unthinkable happened. Somebody got into line behind me.
And then the panic set in. Now the clock is ticking. Before I had limitless time to scroll through the titles. Now this guy's breathing down my neck, and all I can think is: "I don't even know what movie I want...I've seen all the good ones. Hurry up! Hurry up! Just pick something! Anything!"
That's how I ended up renting 2 movies I didn't want to see. Last time it was 3! And then you have to sit there while the cover of each less-than-stellar movie is flashed up on the screen, so that Ms. "Had Hers All Picked Out Ahead of Time" can see you took 15 minutes to choose "Gigli." ( Not that anyone would ever rent "Gigli." Even a Redbox-induced panic wouldn't make me do that).
Maybe it's time to head back to Netflix!
